History

Hieroglyphic was started during the summer of June 6, 2007 in the bedroom of a freshman in high school (Jason Le), but he has been experimenting with graphics since 2005. But at that time the site was known as Hide n' Seek Layouts which was hosted on Myspace. There were a couple of projects that went on before that, but the site did not boom until the start of HNS. When the site first started though, it was less than successful. The layouts were crappy, and there were only a small amount of users.

The site did not become popular until Jason found a friend with similar interests in design. They helped each other on their work and that's when Jason started improving his coding and graphic skills. The site started gaining more and more popularity and more users. He started getting tired of using Myspace blogs to host his stuff, he wanted something more. He wanted a real site, that's when he started applying for sub-domains.

Finally he got accepted at Urbanphase.com. With a sub-domain he started gaining even more users. But his Sophomore year in high school started, homework and assignments kept piling on. He had no more time for his site. And that was the death of Hide n' Seek. The year went on. Then the summer was coming again and Jason needed something to do.

But this time he didn't want his site to be called Hide n' Seek. He wanted a name with more meaning. Thats' when he named his site Hieroglyphic which also goes by Hrglphc, or Hiero. At first, he wanted this site to be a T-Shirt design site, but he did not have the money to fund it so he went back to the layout game. The site has a slogan, "Writing on the walls since we were born." which can be found throughout the site. This slogan encourages people to express what they're talented at. Whether it's film-making, music, drawing, design, or anything that can effect people's lives years from now.

The site is now hosted by Crash-Concept.org This time Jason is trying to stay commited to this site as long as possible. The site can only grow with everyone's support. Thank you.
